ACA antibody is a group of autoantibodies against a variety of negatively charged phospholipids, It can be used as one of the diagnostic criteria for antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (including thrombosis), spontaneous abortion, thrombocytopenia and central nervous system (CNS) lesions. ACA IgM can be used as prospective index of spontaneous abortion; Positive ACA was significantly associated with CNS thrombosis in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
